Yes I have VLC installed. It also plays many formats. Since I do not watch videos/movies on my phone I can not comment in detail about playback. But it does plays formats like avi, wmv, flv, mp4, etc.

I am not arguing over going from android to iOS but its impossible to go to smaller screen once you are used to big screen and specially when you use for video viewing too.
 
Currently Looking for Case for iPhone 5s .... It should be fully covered ... (like nexus 5 OG bumper)
Edit - Recently purchased 2 case from ebay .. but it has no protection ..

ordered this one for my iphone 5s but u will have to cut the case from the homebutton part to use the finger print, i will do that once my case arrives :) btw i paid rs 114 ;)

Regarding the video player,use Oplayer.Its best and plays almost every format.
Just a thought.
I think its apple's policy to make every Iphone unusable after 2.5 or maximum 3 years. Isn't it? Then let me give you an example.Apple released IOS 5 and iphone 4s in 2011.After that apple released ios 6 in '12, then IOS 7 in 2013 and finally ios 8 in 2014.Iphone 4s worked with IOS 5,6,7 very well but it wasn't the same case for IOS 8.Don't believe me?Have a look at this http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/09/19/ios-8-on-iphone-4s-first-impressions-and-performance/
So the point is even if the update was rolled out for the iphone 4s,it wasn't working as it was supposed to, making the the life of the phone shorter.
