I am looking for the most reliable and cheap 8/16gb pen drive, please list the one that would suit me best. I intend to use it as a bootable media so reliability is important.
 
Is strontium reliable? I ordered 2 strontium 8gb micro sd cards of which one failed in under 2 days. claiming warranty is a headache.

Go for Trascend/HP if you really wanna save bucks without compromising speed much. Otherwise Corsair ftw! 16gb trascend jetflash would set you back by 700 and 900 for corsair. Also with corsair you get unmatched ASS.
 
on koovs.com there is a deal for 16GB USB3 Transcend @892/-. Got one, working fine.

Only that they are slow in delivering.

Get the sandisk ones. Good enough for using as booting for installing windows etc. However, not good for usage as USB OTG like WIndows to Go or runnin linux from the drive. Then stick to Corsair. HP transcend fall in between.
 
Got a Kingston Dragon 8 gb from Flipkart @ Rs. 539 which was a bit steep but it was worth it.
