I am using a Samsung Galaxy Ace and looking for a cheap and good upgrade. Consider Micromax Nitro or Micromax canvas2 colors. My preferences is for VFM and good enough for 2 years.

A: Bar

3. Preferred display type?
A: IPS panel
4. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: I am not buying online. Prefer those which are available in local mobile shops. Looking for a android phone with good amount of Ram (1GB+) and good processor. does not freeze and a 4.7-5" display. Moto G, Asus Zenphone etc are not in the list.

5. Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen

6. Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Decent camera for quick photography would be nice :) Not a priority though.

7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android only.

8. Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G,Wifi

9. What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Internet, Multimedia, Mails, Camera. In that order.

10. Any other requirements?
A: I need a phone which will perform troublefree for at least 2 years. Micromax, Gionee and other chinese brands are what I'm looking for. Need recommendation on particular model which is performing better with no heating issues etc. Wonder any of these phones have call quality optimizations like noise cancellation etc? About Asus Zenphone - is it available in local market (Kochin)?

11. If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.
A: Micromax Canvas2 colors or Micromax Canvas Nitro. I've no idea about Gionee and such models.

Why won't you buy online?
A pile of old phones needs to be exchanged for a new phone. I am getting better offers locally. that's the reason. Besides I don't want to run around other towns to receive courier packages shipped from online sites(amazon for eg) as I live in a god forsaken town(Muvattupuzha) which is not serviced by most online sites.

I want better build quality among the worst(means China made) and Gionee Marathon M3 is what currently I am looking into. Any recommendations. @ruiner21
Other options: Huawei Honor 3C, LG L90 . Which one to go? I hear all praises for LG L80 and 90 models as well as Gionee M2 which the shopkeeper claims is reliable than other models.

Bought Gionee M3. It's good for battery life, average performance and for build quality. Needs to be customized a lot to bring back good performance uninstalling bloatware and replacing Amigio UI for google now launcher. Worry is about their service, spare parts support. Smart gestures, Hotknot, USB OTG are few interesting points.
These links are highly useful for Gionee marathon M3 users:
