Looking to buy a good trimmer. I’ve had Nova and Philips. Philips was okay but it had a Micro-USB charger and the port eventually broke. Nova was pretty okay but it had power issues, meaning that it worked cordlessly initially but after a few months, it works only when plugged in.

Any good and cheap suggestions? Will be looking to buy it soon, Amazon or FK.

If it helps, I only lightly trim my beard so I guess that should help? I’m not sure.

Thanks in advance! :)

you can check for WAHL brand. its an good option as much as I know :)

I am using Philips QT4019/15, its been more or less 10 years and its still going strong with little bit of maintenance. Its got self sharpening blades which were enough for my not so rough beard.
Battery gave up after 1 year I guess, and I always use main power while using.

For your usage, MI trimmer will be more than good enough. Where MI scores for me is that their battery and charging tech will be better than the competitors. Personally, I use the Wahl Super Taper corded trimmer. No cordless trimmer comes close to the power of a corded option, unless one is spending big bucks.

Mi Trimmer heats like crazy. It burns can't use it for more than 5 minutes without the comb attachment. Don't go for it. Sure the charging and battery capacity is awesome and unmatchable but it's of no use if you can't use it comfortably.

WAHL corded trimmer is the best budget trimmer. Go for the basic model which is more than enough as a trimmer. Was also using it as a haircut accessory during the lockdown period. Very useful.

Some Philips models are good. I've a Norelco that has nice precision settings, not sure of the model (5000 series, maybe BT5270) . Bought it around the time when Philips had a model with a laser guide going around.
I'd look at Wahl next.

Mi is best.lol. I can shave off my full beard with mi trimmer, it's that good!

Edit: Mi's trimmers is one of those products I'd recommend without second question, iv never had any issues with heating though, it gets a little warm when used continuously.

Also, Iv started to develop a balding patch on my head. I used the mi trimmer to shave off my head full of hair like in max payne 3, a few weeks back. Couldn't believe I could do it considering the size of the mi trimmer.

Every other trimmer has failed me.

I've been using Philips QT4011/15 Pro Skin Advance Trimmer as a trimmer and body groomer since 2016. It has a normal charging port and charge lasts for a good while. I think newer models have succeeded this one but Philips is worth taking a look at.

Can’t use a corded trimmer. They removed the socket for it at home for some reason. :,)
There will be lot of difference in power output when running a trimmer on mains and on battery. And if at all there are options for good battery and power output which can last for couple of years, they will be costly and might be out of your budget.
Check if battery is removable/replaceable or can be used with rechargeable batteries. Atleast, you dont need to worry about battery quality

I use a Nova trimmer since the past 3 years.
Has not given any problems.
Use it for beard and also to trim my younger sons hair.
