Need: to listen to music while jogging, travelling.

Quality: medium. no high demends. but should not crack or have low quality

Type: shuffle type, referably with a clip or something to hang around like a necklace

Earphones: no need. will use my ep630

capacity: anything 2gb or plus would rock.

cost: looking below 800bucks to spend

worry: i do nt want to get stuck with players whose actual size are different than shown size and also no reliability. if someone point me out to a good ebay seller then i would be on my way ordering the item.

Sansa clip is the way to go ...

Another option is the Creative Zenstone Plus

I would have gone for the Sansa Clip though, had to do with a Creative Zenstone Plus from Alfa myself, as Sansa Clip was not available in India at that time :(

Bought it for my cousin though, and its really nice :)

Edit: Sorry didn't check you cost parameters - why do you want a crappy MP3 player though ? You could add another 1.5 K and get a very good player.

try out the mp3 player from eBay My World - veedeedirect.

i cant access ebay from office, so cant post direct link.

the seller is pretty gud and i had got a 2 gb version.

the headphones though exactly not stellar, aint as bad.

size is ditto same to shuffle. right down to clip and everything. only thing that changes is that you dont hv the 'shuffle' switch here :P

there is another seller from delhi who sells the same. anand_online or something. look him up.

manish market (cst) ..... Rs450 1GB .no need to buy from ebay ,since there is no warranty for such products.

There sound quality is as good as RADIO[ without hiss hiss].

if you want quality sansa clip is better.

Avoid cheap mp3 player with DISPLAY ,since if the display goes kaput ...the whole device stops working.

needed more than 1gb for sure. any cheapo would do coz i am not going to use it in quiet areas. hence sound should be fine but high quality not needed.

i am checking the ebay seller mentioned.

if u r using it with a decent pair of headphones, then the sound quality will be quite gud, close to sansa e200 series.
only thing battery dies in about 4-5 hours max.
