My brother had bought some cheap memory (256*2) for me while taking away my SanDeigo 4000+ and XMS pro TCCD based PC :@ . Its was of elixir PC3200 and costed him rs 900 each :ohyeah:

Anyways here are its OC'ing screenshots taken after passing 20 minute Prime95(at a priority of 10) and PCmark memory test running in background.

S**t !!! That's awesome m8 !!!! And here we r buying Transcend and Kingston for 2500~3000 for 512 Megs and all they do is 220~240 Max. But how abt. Memtest or GoldMemory ? Did u try those ? Also try running Prime for 2~3 hrs. atleast and post results.
 
Isn't the latency just so so tho?
I mean most of the overclockers use lower latency stuff rite?
Wudn't really know myself, never OC or anything.
 
For 900/-, what more can you ask for??? 263MHz at 2.5-3-2-7 is AWESOME!!! Only 10K stuff like OCZ VX and stuff can compete with that. at lower latencies.
 
Yeah. These Super Elixir sticks rock. Remember Masky, I had given a link to a Chip thread where the guy had probs. OC'ing and memory failing. That guy used 3 sticks of Super Elixir and managed 280 MHz though the timings were a little suspect in that post.

And @ Prashant, the vDimms pls....
 
WTF, awesome man !!! But did you just manage to boot or have you tested with Prime or something cause i doubt those sticks will handle Prime at those latencies !

Even then awesome OC, and yeah what Vdimm ?
 
Nice Effort! What voltage are you running at? Super elixir is good but the basic trouble is that its only the 256MB modules that seem to clock well. The 512MB modules seem to suck rather bad. Any 256MB module will clock better than a 512MB module cos the load on the memory controller is a lot less when using single sided dimms. Its nice for showing off ;) but for real world tests, 1G of ram is absolutely necessary and 4x 256MB is definitely not the way to go cos of the 2T issue. Also the proccy would not clock too well with 4 sticks. In fact the days of even 512MB sticks is over and ppl are moving over to 1GB sticks cos games like bf2 need more than a gig of ram to run smoothly.

Yeah Chaos, but 2GB (1GB*2) is out of reach for most of us considering good quality Corsair or OCZ sticks will put you back by about 12-14k, so much for RAM alone !

The ordinary Hynix sticks wont OC at all, max of about 10-15 Mhz...

Well overclocking and 1GB doesnt go together unless its crucial ram based upon Micron 5BD chips. (Shameless self promotion :D) The new revision ballistix PC4000(same chip) ram clocks as well as tccd... albeit at 3-3-3 instead of 2.5-3-3. However its expensive stuff costing around 199$ per gig. My stick of crucial value clocks upto 280 memtest stable. I run it 24x7 @ 3-3-3 DDR500. Got it for 7K which is a real steal for it. The only trouble is getting these in india is a pain. In the states crucial value sells for 105$ a gig. Well worth the price if u ask me. Even the value ram clocks atleast to DDR500 if not more.
 
I agree with Chaos (although newer revisions OC much more "-5B g")

I have simple elixir ram sticks and they right now are operating at 2.85Vdimm max I can supply due to my motherboard :@

It Might go higher with higher volatges anyways I think even TCCD wont do at 263Mhz DDR with 2.5-3-2-5 :)

This RAM does 245Mhz DDR @ 2-3-2-5 @ 2.85Vdimm

The latter one is a better choice tough 4 A64 machines and the former one is better choice 4 Intel ones

All were teseted to b Prime Stable 4 more than 24 hrs @ priority of 10

Anyways 4 whatever short time i was with TE i loved it and it wud b my motivation and ambition to come back at TE when I enter the IIT/IIIT (While IIT is my 1st pref). So C you PPL L8R :) , Good Bye and thanx to all mebers of TE 4 being so co-operative with me :thanx:

We dont do anything like that. So u can stay relaxed. :) But I think there is a time limit during which if u dont log in, ur account will be deactivated automatically. DO log in once in a while.. ;)

wow, indeed very impressive. Although im a litle sceptacle is that 100% p95 & memtest stable? seems a bit much for value ram, if it is THEN DAYUUUMM :D
