Storage Solutions Cheap/Decent microSDHC card reader

need one for me since the SD card reader on my lappy has gone bust ( or the adapter card has :ashamed: )
Needs to be cheap/small so that I can carry it with my laptop.

You can get a Sandisk Micromate or a Transcend SD card reader and you also might have to buy a microSDHC --> SDHC card (or casing if you want to call it that).

most card readers cost around 150 nowadays...just test b4 buying if no warranty...coz some of them fail to write to the card.

Lol I got a small pen drive kinda reader for 100 bucks from SP Road. You can insert only SD cards & Micro SD cards and its slightly bigger than a pen drive . No cables just the USB plug. Reads/writes SDHC cards upto 16GB w/o any problem. Infact I get write speeds of 12 MB/s on the new Transcend 8GB Micro SD (Class 6)

Reads/writes SDHC cards upto 16GB w/o any problem. Infact I get write speeds of 12 MB/s on the new Transcend 8GB Micro SD (Class 6)

none of my two readers can do sdhc. One brand i dun recall, the other is adcom.

Am i missing something?

I too need to get an external SDHC card and apart from the Chinese and Sandisk stuff, it seems Tech-Com is also manufacturing/selling SDHC card readers in India. Any idea how good/bad they are and how much they cost?

Basically I just need the card reader to download photos to my computer.

I am transferring my data with symsmb and wireless router at 500kBps speed on avergae,whihc sucks for an SDHC card..I am waiting..hope 2 visit SP road tomorrow again,plz some 1 name the shop

i GOT AN SDHC SUPPORTED READER FOR 60 RUPEES! it transfers at 6 mBps and is awesome..I filled up my 4 gig card in 8 minutes 41 seconds
