buy one domain name from yahoo and use the following code BESTDEAL you get it for 1.99USD.:hap2:

Link: Yahoo Domain

Source: Domain names from Yahoo for $1.99

well if you read the terms :
How much does Yahoo! Domains cost?

It depends on the term you choose.

1-year term: $1.99 (special discount for new customers only) 2-year term: $11.94 ($1.99 for your first year, $9.95 for your second year) 3-year term: $21.89 ($1.99 for your first year, $9.95 for your next two years) 5-year term: $41.79 ($1.99 for your first year, $9.95 for your next four years)

After term expires: $34.95/year (only annual terms available after initial term expires)

which would mean that once the "term" is over, you gotta shell out ~$35 per year which is kinda highway robbery
i guess it is only beneficial if you want to buy a domain now and risk losing it after a year..

<...someone correct me if this is wrong ..>

You can always transfer it to another cheaper registrar when the one year is over. There is no risk in transferring the domains and no good registrar will deny an outgoing transfer. I had registered a domain through yahoo when a similar promotion was going on before and I successfully transferred it to name.com without any difficulty.

Btw .in domains are also cheap now. You can get it for about $4 from name.com. Usual price is around $14 :)

You can take .in domain for Rs. 99/- (~ 2$) also.
Just some search will help you to get best deal on .IN and third level .IN domains. :)
