I wanna know if I but 2 sticks of Dynet 2GB DDR3 ram[Rs575] and slot them in alternating slots will they work in Dual Channel mode? I understand they need to be the same timings? How do i check this on the ram modules?
I am aware they wont be as good performance wise as "enthusiast" ram modules.

they will work. check for latency on the ram it should be something like 9-9-9-24 or so and also check for mhz such as 1333 or 1066. match them and you can easily use it as dual channel.

Same model RAM's have same latency & its always written on every RAM out there weather Generic or Branded. If you see the RAM module then look for the sticker to match the details.

ok so just the clock timings and frequency is enough to match ?

iv got 4 DIMMs and 2 occupied with 2x2gb XMS3s.so 2 are empty...should i get 2x2gb now or 1x4gb now and fill the other empty with a 4gb later?

either will do. but make sure the second set of ram slots are filled with the higher capacity if you decide to buy the 4x1, but 2x2 will be better. one xms3 and one dynet in first two and one xms3 and one dynet in the second. play around a little to get correct settings. why dont you buy xms3 only about 1k more?

buy 2x2 and do as i told you before. i have done the same thing in my old system. one 2x2 and one 1x1 gb rams i installed like i said above. it worked beautifully and still is:)
