Cheap Handheld Gaming Console.....

I'm on the lookout for a cheap / portable gaming thingie.......
something that would play the good old mario and other games :bleh: .......

yea i know nitendos are around , but want to know if there is anything else which i can get......

PSP is way above budget currently........

pls advise....

P.S. ---> Now since I don't want more replies like above....., I mention I know about the chinese gaming consoles and I know about the space$h!t and I know about the brick game and I know about the 64in1 gaming devices that run beep beep beepp...........TY! My Bad I din't mention it in the topic post !!! :(

I don't really get what you want - there are only two portables really in the mkt. One is PSP, the other is DS.

The rest all fell by the wayside (I have an ancient sega game gear, used only 6-7 hours total).
 
there's some nintendo console..which 2-3 kids in my building own..but they are so addicted to it that they even play wid it outdoors...and cause of that even other kids have stopped outdoor games like cricket ,football..they just there ...and play games lik street fighter and Pokemon all day..

dunno which console it is..but they have some small casette kind of things for the game..and its got a square colour screen..but the graphics aint tht great plain simple 2d graphics..its a flip flap console :P

i think its the nintendo gameboy advanced SP not sure...

the games are very cheap thats what i ve heard..maybe even the console ..will be in your budget.

or else...best thing to do is save save and get a PSP..you should get fat second hand PSP for around 5-6 k !
 
I need something which can be abused really badly :P ....which i can carry in my bag and it can be a stress buster in the need of the hour.....

or get a used Symbian phone like the 6600 and run the NES emulator on it

(before you laugh away the suggestion, let me reind you that I finished Mario 2 and 3 again after several years on a symbian phone :P ..Most of it during long and boring meetings)
 
their is this Chinese handhelds which can play nes roms on it...don't know the name but its a PSP lookalike. it plays mp3s and the divx avis..storage media is sd cards..costs like 2k, one of my friends has it...will try to get a snap of it.

Look for the Gameboy Micro. Sells for about ~50$ in the US nowadays. ebay india has it listed for ~3k. Should be cheaper outside. Plays GBA games (everything the SP plays) and is really small and easy to carry.

:ahem: games should be Rs50-Rs150.
