Laptops Cheaper laptops in Bangkok?

Hi friends!
I wanted to know if there are any specific make laptops, which are expensive in India. My friend is in bangkok and i was wondering if it would be a better idea to get one lappy from there...
S'thing like i guess thinkpads are exp in india so i cd ask him to check prices there?
Any body having any ideas about such comparitive prices in india and b'kok? ;)

core2 duo,512, mb , 14.1" in b'kok
Would you think i could get a better deal in india?:huh:

15.4" CSV, ATI X1300 128MB (not sure if it is X1400, all it says M54P)

512 DDR 2 upto 4 GB, 80GB HDD, 8x DL DVD RW+

wifi, bluetooth, ethernet, 56k modem, spill proof keyboard, blah blah blah....

Under 66k net in India from HCL.
 
okie..the model my friend has seen is M100-1141T, then i guess the config which he has seen, that shouldn't be more than 45k in india as well..coz i guess this wd be an older model..
 
i'd say don't buy anything from abroad unless there is 45% margin.

you can check models at toshibadirect.com or pc.toshiba-asia.com. for some strange reason, models sold thru HCL are not available elsewhere :S

well, if you are a frequent flyer, get it from abroad...... in Asia some dealers may not entertain products purchased elsewhere and purposely delay things.

The price looks good..Get it 4 sure!! Just get another 512 stick added..:)

In that case i guess i should try to get d exact price of tht model here from some dealer, and then decide based on d price difference...
