which is the cheapest core 2 duo compatible motherboard available in India?

budget = 5k.

was planning but then i realized ddr2 ram is needed :P

so cancelled my plan & that is why i said mods to close/delete this thread

A E6400 + ASRock 775 + DDR is the cheapest way to go for C2D.

You can upgrade to DDR2-667 anytime as the board supports it :)
 
U sure guys Thats asrock supports DDR.
[No I dont have ne sort of conroe plans atleast for 6 months]

The 24Pin Conn is placed at a odd posn , wire mgmt issues.

Lolz who told u Asrock is crap , my uncle is using that without any issues.

One Question reg the Vtwins as u can see in the Mobo Pic that i have posted
above the uli chipset doesnt have any heatsink doesnt it get hot.

Dont you guys think that there shud have been a HSF oven the Uli Chip.

Nah...the ULi runs very cool. They made a great chipset. A heatsink attached with some thermal adhesive would help in overclocking. But i think for stock speeds, running bare is fine enough.

The board is decent overclocker.

It will be available here in mumbai in 3-4 days.

And at less than 5k its your best bet for budget conroe rig.

As far as no heatsink on ULI southbridge goes, no need to worry. its southbridge. does not get too hot.
 
asrock board looks good than gigabyte.....which i have..it takes time to load where as my frnds comp on asrock with jus 256mb ram starts in split seconds.....
