guys plzz help me with any brand any confi lappy

some thing having either 1 gb ddr2 ram or slot free so that can buy cheap ram from market and add

now tell me abt options

25-27k type or lesser

any xyz brand will be ok

dont need original operating system

Dell Notebooks - Small and Medium Business

Not only is Dell Vostro 1000 the cheapest laptop at Rs 32000 but its also Notebookreviews No 1 laptop a the moment. Now how much more can one ask for? Of course its 5000 more than your budget but that's the cheapest I know about. Maybe Sahara or Zenith will have cheaper laptops but you can be sure any cheaper laptops will be awfully configured and outdated.

lappy in 20-23 max

for mom who use it just for preapring class notes slides and reseach docu in wordpad and powerpoint and pdf

i hope even any age old celeron or sempron will suffice as the previous one was doing fine with xp and p3
 
my gf got a good deal in a dell with
3200 sempron+1gb667+webcam+1280x800+160gb+ dvdrw
at just $540

was searching for something similar in india

no heavy use
so no prob if from not so reliable make

BTW asus eee pc is available? it look sweet and mom may like it

that will do after i go for little customisation to barebone xp+office

any other option from acer/sahara/.../...
 
some models of Acer, Compaq are avail for 22-25k, but might have a celeron proci............
U can search TE for the same as many a users have threads for cheap lappy.............
 
give something thats good to ur mother man...5k here and there but u dont know the dell service,,, trust me it'l be paisa vasool till the last penny...

If u can bargain u might even get better deal..atleast giv it a try...
 
There is a limited dell offer in the US , i recently saw.

A good configuration with 1 GB ram that cost US$400

whri can upgrade the ddr2 ram by buying one 1gb stick at ritchie street

i took my mom'm current lapy...1.8 c2d 2gb

i'll give it back in next 2-3 months

till then need a replacement

so plzz tel me the cheapest one with no os/linux/dos

well ul find ram at almost all comp shops.. so that should not be a prob.. but remm a laptop has only 2 ram slots so if theyr already occupied then u might have trouble..

^ totally worth it! BUT ONLY IF the price mentioned is all inclusive (FFH, installations, VAT, taxes, Carry Case).
