Cheapest phone to access Internet!!

One of my friend live in deep part of Kashmir!! The only way to access internet is through GPRS internet provided by BSNL!!! So please temme , which is the cheaepst mobile he sould by through with he can access internet on his laptop thrpugh Mobile!!

I dont think EDGE is available in that area. If EDGE is available then the cheapest phone to buy would be the Nokia 3110 Classic.

But if EDGE is not available, only GPRS is available then he can buy the Motorola MOTOYUVA W230.

Nokia is better. May be 6810 -- outdated so very cheap -- 3K -- Also supports edge.
