Cheapest place to buy Windows 7 64 bit online in India

I got mine from here

Microsoft Store Home

Win 7 Home premium for 5700/- including shipping. ( package includes both 32 and 64-bit editions )

Totally legit and its the retail version... which means unlimited installs ( but a single user license ). You just cannot find a better deal than this when it comes to legit.

^^ Doc unlikely you'll get any cheaper. You *might* but it will FOR SURE be an OEM copy or probably one of those early MSDN or Houseparty giveaway copies that M$ handed out.

Be careful if u r offered something thats too good to be true... cos it might just not be it.

IF you know anyone who's studying in the USA it will be cheaper cause they get student discounts over there.

I had gotten a Windows XP professional for just Rs. 700 by the same method.

Original and all ofcourse.

What are the limitations/problems of the MSDN/House Party giveaway copies?

Someone in the forums has offered me via his dealer a 64-bit version for 2500 or so. Says it is legit; he himself has installed many times on 3 machines...can it be true?

@Vijayshimla: The softmartonline..which is their etrading portal?

You don't have access to MSDN + the Houseparty stuff is not to be resold.
Basically, anything cheaper by a big margin, than the buyoriginalms.com prices is going to be illegal

You could try looking through a Croma store in your neighbourhood.

I know someone who bought MS Office Home and Student Edition for 2k from Croma, when the MS online store price was (at that time) hovering around 2.5k (IIRC).
