I have used SmartVOIP earlier and now use Jumblo. I use it from a desktop but it has a Symbian version too. As with all VOIP, pricing to the gulf region is on the higher side at about 10 euro cents a minute. To India it is closer to 1 cent a minute and US, UK Aus is free upto some 200 minutes a week for some 90 additional days for each credit you buy.

For US & Canada i have always use Skype, unlimited world plan that costs 10 Euros, and you can call upto 40 countries for free. Australia landlines calls are free.

BTW Even the 80p/min MTNL plan is awesome. I use it to call my bro all the time.
