We have a windows 2000 server, and have a E: drive that stores data backup.
We even have symantec antivirus installed on it, but are unable to change any settings since the IT department has the authority.
now the issue here is, I had started the chkdsk through GUI on this volume where linux, and windows backup is stored.
And this was done on friday, but since then it has been showing us "phase 2" ever since.
I want to know is there any way of knowing that the process is currently going on?
And is there any way to terminate it without risking data loss.
The size of the HDD is about 400 Gb.
Any help appreciated.
