Move over the browser, because the Chrome Server is finally here!

Many of you have been extremely helpful and your valuable comments have helped shape this dream into a perfectly working reality :)

Enough of the talking, lets get on with it!

Now you'll understand why I went for the chrome finish :)

From the top,

The POS D-Link ADSL Modem and the Linksys WRT600N (Arguably the best WiFi router as of now, an incredible device!)

The connections layout, for the hardware whores

I don't really know what the total cost of this worked out to, but the electronics were imported from Newegg via KMD but this roughly cost me around 15k (Minus the Router and Modem).

The machines runs 24x7, consumes roughly 25W,
1. Handles all my downloads (HTTP/FTP/Torrents)
2. Shares the printer across the wired and wireless network
3. Plays HD on my TV
4. Is a music box for the audio setup
5. Is a backup for all my data.

And many thanks to KMD (For the parts), Naga (For helping me with the networking) and last but not the least Superczar (For the concept and inspiring me at every stage of this process).

You can find this in the Rig gallery here :)

I also have only one doubt in mind. Why a generic PSU? I know the power requirements arent high, but it still makes sense to invest in a cheap CM or Corsair. Or at least Powersafe :p

Edit:-Ok i see the chrome sheet..
Atleast shud hav put some sun mica and then sheet over it..or anything else to make it smooth..

nice setup still...Does it play 1080p properly??

What are the softwares used??

Wats the damage for the networking part..??
Congrats once again:)

Nope they are Chrome sheets only.
Yep, it plays 1080p perfectly without any lag. Infact the native res on the desktop is 1920x1080
OS is XP SP3, WMP11 for the HD.
Dlink ADSL router was 1.6k, Linksys 600N was 8.9k (Via KMD).
