i use 11.04 with chromium as my daily browser .. ppa has been added to my system. now due to a known bug hardware acceleration is deactivated on my chomium . i found out by to override it i need to start chromium using this string --ignore-gpu-blacklist.

my question is how to start chromium with this input ?

Well, I think right click on the shortcut and edit command in the properties.

Ahh 11.04 sorry didn't noticed that. Sorry for bad reply. I don't have any idea. I didn't upgraded mine yet.

BTW my general sense says that, right click on the Chromium icon from where you open Chromium and check.

Back in Maverick and other, Application > Internet > Point the mouse over Chromium icon and right click.

So as GNOME is not there anymore, can't help you with the right path, but the technique would be same I guess.

done.. i couldnot do it via unity but only via gnome. the main problem is to create a desktop shortcut.. after creating simply add up "--ignore-gpu-blacklist" before %U in the launch command... and done..

but i dunno why chrome has been disabled to draw opengl from ver 10.. why mesa drivers( intel drivers) are blcklisted ??
