Recently updated the IOS on one of our 3640. Now running into a authentication issues with the Tacacs server. The router no longer requests user credentials an just prompts for the password when I try and Telnet into the router. Any inputs as to what could have gone wrong?

I have even reverted to the backup of the earlier IOS with no luck.

Appreciate any help.

Was running flash:c3640-ik8s-mz.122-8.T.bin
Moved to flash:c3640-ik8s-mz.122-15.T7.bin

Will post show conf. info later. The reason for the change was due to high CPU util.

Jatt -Already tried using the backup IOS. Same issue. Tried logging into other routers with AAA, saw absolutely no issues there.

Can you upload the show tech Capture. Would want to see the whole thing together. you can delete off sensitive information.

Language dude? Show tech is just to understand what was the changes he made that helped him resolve the issue and the IOS version. its not necessary to stop talking or discussing since his problem got solved. there could be others with the same issue. please correct me if i was wrong.

Language??wtf was martian* about the language above?

True, but guy...understand this.

People on here mostly look for wifi routers ranging from 1500-3k+, anything for home small/mid-size office networking.

They dont buy lakhs worth of routers with issues such as these.

If you want to troubleshoot or need help regarding issues with the like's of 3600 series or the 30 lakhs and upwards 7200 ones, I suggest you find core networking forums like sadikhov etc or some cisco community.

Be practical, theres no point in reviving a year old thread because you think you need to discuss it further when its at the wrong forum in the first place.
