The motherboard(MSI K9AGM2) of my 2nd PC has very unusual problem :ashamed:. After a couple of months use it started showing a "CMOS Battery too low" error at POST screen, after about 24 hours of the message popping up the board refused to boot(no display). Replacing the CMOS battery solved the problem, but such became the norm since then. It would need a new CMOS battery every month at first......then once every 2 weeks, and currently it needs one every 2-3 days.
Now at first, i didnt bother to RMA the board as i didnt mind spending 5-10 bucks for the battery every month or even twice a month. But now its like 10-15 new batteries per month
.
Tried updating the BIOS, but problem persists.
I want to know if there is anyway i can get rid of this nuisance, or is RMA the only option at hand.
TIA
