CoD5 to go back to WW II

It’s been widely discussed whether the next sequel in the COD series will be set in modern times or WWII. A couple of weeks ago, a decision was made and we’re now sure that COD will indeed be set in the WWII era. Since then, forums have been bursting at the seams with discussions, and most users thinks this is a really bad move.

Noah Heller, one of the producers, claims that COD5: World at War will try to redefine the WWII genre and that they’ll try really hard to make this the best first person shooter ever to hit the market. However, if they don’t deliver on that promise, they might end up losing some long-time fans of this game.

Call of Duty: World at War should hit the market sometime around Xmas, and it will find its way to PCs, as well as the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii platforms.

anyways thanks for letting us who don't know this already know,

i think this aint a nice move,

back to WWII?

i think this will be the 1000th game made on WWII
 
Well, if Infy thinks they still have some tricks up their sleeves that they can use to reinvigorate the WWII settings, then that's good, I guess.

If I remember correctly...Infinity Ward aren't making it. Its being done by the guys who made COD3...

Japan this time...maybe you'll have samurai sword shooting guns :)
 
Hmm , CoD4 was great , maybe because of teh Present TIme setting , IMHO , thats what made it different from the billion WWI and WWII games being released every year :P.....i am waiting for the next Infinity Ward release, this one is just a bridge for CoD4 n CoD6
