planning to get an amd am2 5200+/5600+ with 1gb ram....no probs with thta..but can i run the game(not expecting 800X600 and above resolutions) if i use a built in video card..i plan to buy biostar 7050pv MB(which is similar to 7100..).will i b able to play it?have been a fan of colin mcrae series since rally 2....have played rally 2,3 and 04.didnt try 2005 because i am using geforce 2 video card and a 512mb ram with p4 at 2.4ghz.

the requirements page at codemasters says" not compatible with all integrated gpu's"....so buying a graphics card is my only option?

have to play dirt....Dirt>>>>NFS series..:P

Dirt requirements are very high, so i don't think it'll run on an Integrated GPU. It doesn't run on my onboard Intel G965 chipset.

DiRT is running on my 7600GT 256 awesome! 30fps constant at medium high settings 800*600 i almost completed game in 2 days.. highly addictive game. yeh DiRT>>NFS

thanx guys....looks like a discrete card is the only option..this game(series) totally deserves it.will settle for 8500gt(256mb)..will 512mb offer any considerable advantage over 256 mb one.plan to buy xfx one over zebronics.have to agree..slightly brand consious.but problem is xfx is a passively cooled card...no fan(saw the pic on newegg).

i advice u to go for the 8600GT 256 over the 8500GT 512 ...the 8500GT will not b able to utilize the 512MB
