Color issue while playing videos on AMD Graphic card

I have been facing this strange issue lately in which the color of few videos (mkv files, H.263/264) are off color its shown something like this screenshot. I'm having MSI AMD 290x and Core i7 Desktop and this issue is really irritating. only solved by a system restart. Please help
my amd driver version is 14.501.1003-141120a-178000C and CCC 14.12

I faced a similar issue with my PC connected to Samsung TV. In my case the issue was with the HDMI input socket on the TV: it had some hardware issue. I am now using another input and that works fine.

What settings did you chose for your video->color settings in CCC?

Which video player are you using?

the problem is persistent in both VLC as well as Media Player Classic

I'm using Color Management at 100 and the basic video color is set to 'use video player settings' this issue occurs randomly and mostly solved by a restart.
