ikea indiaWinter is coming so I'll need a blanket, my old cotton (Razai/Lihaf) needs some work so instead of going traditional way (buying new cover, cleaning and refilling cotton) I would like to buy something else like Comforter.
Are these good? Any recommendation would be helpful
If quality is good then I can try to get slightly higher GSM (300~400) for same company.I purchased this Wakefit comforter from Amazon last year. It's pretty warm and comfortable; however, it's useless in Ahmedabad's winter (which seldom gets below 10-11 degrees Celsius), even in December or January. But it will do the job for the North.
I tried using it in the AC, but it was too warm for me. Materials and stitching are quite good for the price.
They recommend to wash it before first use. Will it fit in an 8kg washer?I purchased this Wakefit comforter from Amazon last year. True, despite the name, comforters have this synthetic feel and slipperinessOnce you have used cotton, I am not sure you will like the synthetic ones. ( Long term cotton razai user)
Summer or winter it's cotton razai all time.True, despite the name, comforters have this synthetic feel and slipperiness
Meanwhile the razai is true comfort and coziness
Fiber mixed razai which are quite light and warm have come in . They are not 100% cotton inside ofcourseRazai is heavy thats the only problem but I am used to it. Wanted to try something thats easy to wash and maintain
Hmm. I always thought heavy comforters are better for sleep. Many people are shifting to super heavy ones.Razai is heavy
Yes.They recommend to wash it before first use. Will it fit in an 8kg washer?
most people forget what is difference between real cotton and micro-fiber. In long term real cotton (kapas/kapus/rui/ruee) have good effect on health compare to micro-fiber (artificial kapas)Once you have used cotton, I am not sure you will like the synthetic ones. ( Long term cotton razai user)
Yes they are mostly cheaper and not as hot as white cotton, I saw grey, brown cottons (maybe they are microfibers, I don't know) but we always use white one which is of best quality. Only thing I don't like in razai is cleaning, you can't clean it every season.Fiber mixed razai which are quite light and warm have come in . They are not 100% cotton inside ofcourse
have mysa one, good quality. i dont remember weight. mine is smaller in size and not for adult, think its 5ft long. sometimes when legs hurt / tired it feels good. but cant sleep in it as feels too heavy.Hmm. Gravity blankets (7kg)
9kg blanket
If anyone has tried these, please chip in.
I use fancy lightweight comforters that I bought from some chain store. Would dump them for a desi razai any day.
