Comp turnoff.. need help...

Ok, I know almost nothing about computers... And I don't know what to do...

Everytime I play C&C Renegade on my Comp, it turns off.. I'll enter the game, join a serv, and after about 10 minutes it will turn off.. Just like that.. it just turns off.. I've been playing the game for about 2 months with no problems.. but they just started happening for some reason.

I don't know why it would turn off, when I was in game, I checked out the Task Manager, and the usage was way, way up... Mabye that's why it turned off? It goes up to 100 a lot, but if I go out of the game, and it just sits there, the usage goes down.. I seriously don't know if that means anything or not... can anyone help? or relate?

My dad said it might just be power, or memory... We have two HD on here, lot's of music, I do school through an online academy, and it's on here... This Comp is used a lot... But the only time it shuts off, is when I'm playing Renegade......

I ran adware, and spybot, while in safe mode, with system restore off.. That's what it said to do on some other forum..... I think I was in safe mode or whatever that is...

Where you push F8 when your cp is turning on? But yeah.. I ran it while in there, then restarted my cp, and put system restore back on, joined my game, and it turned off after about 10 minutes again.....

This problem just started about 4 days ago.. and it didn't turn off as fast right away.... When it first started, I could play for about an hour, but that time has been going down for some reason... Now it's down to 10 minutes....

So, yeah, I just thought of that as I entered the last post....
 
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but what is with this Winfixer popup that keeps coming back...

It pops up, probably on average, every 30 minutes.. three different windows pop up everytime.... I took it off the HD, which I don't know how it got there.. but it won't go AWAY!.. And it's getting very, very annoying...
 
first of all...whts ur pc config like....
and of ot turns off while playing the game only...then its a heating issue....ur pc must be heating up...check the temperatures and post them along with ur pc config
 
yeah as ice mentioned check for temps. could be that dust or something is clogging up the cpu or gfx card fans causing it to heat up
 
wow, I think it's fixed.... And it's a good thing lol.. cause I don't know what my cp config is, or how to check for heating.... :)

I'm not very good with computers lol.. can you tell?

But I don't know how, I updated my driver off the website for the one I had, and could that have done it? So yeah, I'm happy....
 
You can Check for Heating by using a Software Like Asus PC Probe if you have and Asus mobo. Else Speedfan, google it.

Double Click on My Computer, Right Click, Properties.. CPU and RAM Details are there.

For Gfx Card details, Right Click on the desktop, Properties, SEttings.

The name comes there.
