As I found out there is a problem with HP Compaq V3000 series laptops with their displays going bad.. My brothers laptop developed this problem recently after jumping warranty... It was giving one long & two short beeps which means the display has gone bad... Its got integrated Geforce 6150 display chip...
Now it passed the warranty last October (2007) & I looked for the solution on the internet... I found out that this series of laptops indeed have this problem of display failing.. and HP is offering a 24 months extended warranty instead of the regular 1 year..

But I have a doubt... Last year before the expiry of the warranty same problem came & since it was covered they replaced the mobo.... Will they again change the mobo..
I am confused 'coz of this...

After HP repairs your notebook, you will continue to be covered by the HP Limited Warranty Service Enhancement program for 24 months after the start of the standard HP Limited Warranty, or 90 days after receiving your free repair, whichever is later.
Since I got it repaired under warranty & now there is no warranty am I still covered or that 90 day period means that I am out of Luck....
