I only read the "final thoughts" last page :) Quite decent writeup looks like, and of course totally agree with their assessment of Fedora vs. Ubuntu... (no idea about Mandriva/OpenSUSE coz I dont use them these days) . Didnt like that they nitpicked on a couple of issues they faced like "Audacious" with Fedora (maybe they meant Audacity?) and NFS with Ubuntu... but over all quite good article....
