As the title states, my Swift Diseal will arrive by Sat of this week..

So m in the market for a Car audio System that will go good with my Car.

The budget is 20000 inc tax, plus or minus a few 1000s.

I also want a good n extremely powerful external Active sub that gives good tight bass, coz i love tight bass n not boomy :).
I Guess assembling my own parts will be wise, instead of buying a complete pre-made kit.

hmm...if u go thru TEAM BHP ..its really good..but will take lotsa time..and chances are u might get really confused..like i did..but then everythin was so perfect....also..there are 90 % chances..in increase in budget if u visit

even my dad got a swift(zxi). ..and i am too planning to get a good audio system...for arnd 20k..but have now streched to 27k..almost...
and dis is what u can get according.. to my research...into ICE.and most of dem will suggest u da same.

so here u go ---*if u really need woofer i think u will need to strech u r budget...
1)Head Unit-
Pioneer 6950/5950 (if USB is not very much of use to u)..around 7-8 k

or Pioneer 7950 UB (is USB ready).-around 10k+

2) front door components..(set of mid range-tweeter+crossover)-set of 2 for left and right doors.
JBL GTO 607C 6-1/2" (160mm) 2-Way Component System -Arnd 4.5 k

3) rear tray
JBL GTO937
6" x 9" (160 x 230mm) 3-Way Loudspeaker -arnd 3.5k

4)amplifier

Sony XM-554ZR 4 Channel Stereo Amplifier arnd 5k
or
JBL 4-Channel Full-Range Amplifier - CS60.4 around 7k

5)subwoofer...

JBL 10 Inch Car Subwoofer - GT4-10 approx. 3900 +1200 for box
OR
pioneer 306C\ 306 F -12" woofer - approx 4000 and 1200 for box.
OR
JBL 12 Inch Car Subwoofer - GT4-12 approx 4500 + 1200 box
others-
good wiring 2000-3000
rear parcel tray etc..-1000+

i think..u can skip the rear 9 X 6 if on a real tight budget..or skip the woofer..
but the best would be to strech u r budget and ..get the above setup...

Wht do u think are Rear Speakers that necessary ??

Or should i stick with 2-channel + a good Sub ?
 
dude, don't skimp on rear speakers...they are the ones that'll add the surround bit to your car...i can hardly hear my front door speakers in swift.....
 
Either if i have Rear, then there is no way i can have a sub :(, i want a sub for that extra punch, i m used to this punch in my friends car (he has a blaupunkt 15" sub) so i m addicted to it now .. LOL ^^ i cant look back..

I m thinking of getting this for my Swift.

Max budget 25k.(strict)

Front - JBL 607C

Sub - how about a JBL GT4-12/GTO1204D + Encloser Or suggest something other if this is not a good choice. I m looking to spend some extra 1000s, but i want good quality bass.

Amp - JBL CS60.2

Ques: Since i m going for a 2.1 setup, will it be a good idea to go for CS60.2 or should i go for a 4-ch amp ???, n how about the Sony/Pioneer/Blaupunkt amps are they any better ??

HU - Havent decided on this, I dont want USB tho.. maybe a 6950 / 5950

Ques: Are there any better models then this under the same price range or shoulld i stick with Pioneers ?

i got some 12" jbl amps....dunno the model..:| . . din care to bring the box as it was a grey stuff anyway..costed me 3200+1000(box)

You would need the rear and the front speakers to give you on overall good Sound quality, Depends where you want your sound stage to be..

If you want your sound stage to be in the front, Go for the compo's, If not stick with speakers which will go in your Stock location ,

For the rear there are two options, Either get the 6*9 for the rear and when the budget permits get a good sub with the enclosure, or let go of the Front compos for now and get the 6*9 speakers and the Sub with a 4 channel Amp.

Anyone can do the instalation for you, And that is where the whole difference is, Choose your installer carefully, A 9k basic instalation can sound better than a 50k one.

I have done three different installs in my alto to get it right, Ask me should you need any more info.

Sub - JBL GT4-12.

i have stretched my budget to 27000

 Max,. not a 100Rs more.. lol

Suggestions still required..

i m looking for a 4ch setup. Front + Rear.
