Hi Guys!
I am very newww to this forum

And i have a doubt "How much we pay as custom's duty to bring the peripherals from USA? and also for that price and duty is it safe bet to bought it in our town?

Please help me in this...........

as you are very neeeewwwwww here, let me welcome you to TE :hap2:

Bring as in carry in or if someone send its across?? usually its 18-25% and then it comes to your town.
 
Even I need to know .....

Say If it is couriered by someone (say it's bought from eBay US) ...

What'd be the total charges I need to pay (ie. Customs + etcetera) ??
 
how much can we bring thru the customs ?

My uncle is going to Bangkok in a month i am asking him to get 2*8800GTS + Gskill RAM 1GB*2. for me and my cousin + he may take iphone n stuff from there ? So will we have to pay for the 8800's + the RAM

is there any secure chek to see if the RAM works perfectly fine .... btw howz d Gskill ram ?? better than kingston or transcend here in INDIA ?
 
^^^^its certainly far more better than kingston and transcend. Some of the specific models of GSkill come with D9 micron chips which are great for overclocking.
 
I believe when coming from abroad you can bring in Rs 25k of stuff new so long as you keep bills to show. Anything over that may attract duty. The phone he can just carry unboxed and show as for personal use. SO that will probably be counted extra. Wait for someone else to confirm first ;)

For couriers: duty is around 21% + misc other charges. + 5.5% octroi in Mumbai too i believe...
 
Customs will rip off in India..

U can bring till 25000 Rs after that all stuff is charged.

So best u can do is open the boxes & carry it as item which u use it for ur own purpose. If u show the box then pay customs :)

DO NOT Ever Purchase from US & Tell them to deliver by Courier. It will cost a bomb
