Hi guys, I am new to computer hardware and I have been trying to build a desktop but it wouldn't start for some reason. My setup as follows:

Gigabyte GA-P31-ES3G
Intel BX80571E7400 E7400 Core 2 Duo Processor
ATI Radeon HD4670 1GB DDR3 PCI-E HDMI
Kingston KHX6400D2BK2/2 x 2G Hyper X Limited Edition / 800MHz / DDR2
CiT 2003 CSCIT2003BLK Prescott 450W 24pin SATA Midi ATX Chasis Case

I have plugged everything according to the instructions and it seems to power up ok with the power supply fan and processor fan working when I switch it on.
However the fan on the graphic card was not running and I could not get any signal from the card. The motherboard does not have an integrated graphics card so I couldn't figure out what is going on!!

Any suggestion would be very appreciated!

Try with only one RAM chip first.

Also, please mention how many hard drives have you connected. If u have have multiple hard drives, try starting up with just one.

The key is make it run with bare minimal hardware so that you can identify the faulty part.

Good luck

I have the same problem.
Do you have any solution?
Thank you

Do the motherboard LEDs light up...? Please try with one RAM stick on the first DIMM slot. And once before booting, remove the CMOS battery for a few seconds.

try removing your gfx card and check out wether u rig works or not if yes then uninstall the display drivers and install ur card back and check if it works or not

Thank you, problem was in the motheboard, it was bad :-) I changed and it running fine now. Have a nice the Christmas .-)
