But have seen the benchmarks that SLI 970 give more fps for the same price. Is it true?
this is true BUT there are the downsides of a multi-gpu setup namely, extra power usage, extra heat & noise but most importantly, being dependent on sli support in drivers which is not present for all games.
basically, a dual gpu setup is faster but single gpu is more convenient.

Hey man,
I just wana ask why msi over asus maximus ranger motherboard.

And also why asus gtx 970 over msi 970 ?

Thanks

the cabinet specs will mention max video card length allowable - just check it against the card's dimensions.
this should be possible online itself as both manufacturers will have this info on their sites.

on a side note - if our planning on dropping 20k+ on a new gpu then i think you should know that (sorry if this is old news to you) new gpus are coming out june-july onwards (amd's polaris and nvidia's pascal)
they'll be making announcements at GTC and Computex.
