WHy spend 5.5k get X2 + 690G board with better Onboard GPU than 965 board and it wont cross 5k even if you get Biostar in black  :p

becuase sometimes people are well Intel only Intel only no AMD cause it heats up and half the apps wont run....:bleh:

hw is the gaming performance of this onboard gfx on intel DG965RY.

gaming mostly at 1024 X 768 and say low to medium settings in AOE 3 etc type of games.

No fast FPS games.

Get the X2 4800 and Jetway 690G for around 10k for your requirements, the 965 is Ok...but not as good as the 690G Onboard

What I said get X2 and 690 G based board the X1250 HDMI supporting GPU is pretty good and believe you are not into OC then sette for X2 4XXX+ based processor and you won't regret that you made a wrong mistake and that combo will cost much lesser than 965+4300 so get AMD and get a upper hand that INtel GPU :p

actually i am assembling this rig for one of my relatives and he is puticular abt getting intel processor so i need options for motherboards that support e4300.
hw will this combo be

e4300 + MSI mobo + 7300gs

or

e4300 + intel 965 mobo + 7300 gs

Performance wise both are the same Un OC'd, so get any that you can get cheaper, although Intel After Sales support is way better and u don't need OC'in so go for that

@Dark Star...see what I mean :p

in that case get the msi imo. and me being sure they wont be into oc and stuff getting the xfx wont make sense anyways. and since the msi is for the same price and may be a couple of hundreds lesser get that.

deepak beat me to it. dont know abt intel service support .

8500 GT is quite OK for moderate gaming, atleast till DX10 gmaes show up

MSI and Intel both are 965 Chipset, so will perform the same, and thats y I suggested to get the Intel cause of better service (yeah, its got better service, thats what happens when the company sets up shop in India, like Samsung, AMD, Intel, Seagate rather then companies who get distributors in India like XFX, Asus, MSI etc)

hw is the performance difference between x2 4200+ and x2 4600+

also is x2 4400 available in india

There is a decent difference, but depends on the kind of work you put that PC thru

they are all available, right till the elite 6000+

dude i am really noob when it comes to buying hardware.

See in the X2's chart that appear by visiting the link.. Read the specs .. If u find 65nm written over there in any processor specs then it is "Brisbane" unlike 90nm counterparts i.e codenamed "Windsor":eek:hyeah:

I don't believe that in box there wouldn't be written Brisbane or 65nm

well afaik, they dont write anything like that on the proccy, normal consumer doesnt need to kno the fab process the processor went thru, all they care abt is speed and maybe the cache
