Confused between split ac and window ac (Delhi) Edit: Going for window AC

I need to buy an AC for my room (16ft * 11ft). I'm looking to buy a 1.5T AC . My room is on the top floor and is very hot during the day. I'd shortlisted O General 1.5T 3star Window AC and carrier 1.5T Split AC. My budget is arnd 30-35k. Which AC should I go for?
 
if you are asking about which 'brand' then O General should be on top of the list. preference for split or window unit depends on whether you need fresh air to be circulated by your AC. only window ACs have the provision of sucking in fresh air and this feature is a rarity in split units.
 
The Hitachi Twin motor window units are as efficient as a split and probably better at cooling if they are able to cool like the specs say.

However window units require a big hole to be cut in your wall or by sealing up a window. Installation cost is usually a bit higher if you have to repaint or restructure your windows (even though the quoted installation is lower, this assumes the masonry etc is already done).

A window unit is usually more comfortable (IMO) than a split because of the fact that there is always fresh air in the room. It is usually less efficient because of this as well.

Pick your poison, both have their own compromises.
 
Yes, having used OGeneral Window AC for many years in my office, I can definitely say its a great AC. Fast cooling and no service issues till now!
