confused with mp3 player to go for creative/cowon/sansa

Initally i thought of going for sansa clip plus 4 gb. But since i read lot of other models in creative and cowon i was totally confused.

i had choosen between

1.Creative Zen X-Fi 16 GB Video MP3 Player with Wireless LAN and Built-In Speaker (Black/Silver)

or cowon d2+.

How are they play videos. Do we can play movies in avi. if yes do we need to convert them ? and how abt softwares to convert them for from a regular 700mb avi file to that one?
Both the above players are nearly same priced. If anybody used the above two please tell your experience.

if they are not so good at watching movies then i will go for our good sansa clip plus.

please give your valuable suggestion.
 
u can also check iriver....they're really gud...using them for 2 yrs...no problem

OP your post says you are kind of confused what you want??.

If you want to see movies ,listen to music ,surf web then it is the ipod touch .

If you are looking at music and videos ( long hours) then Cowon D2+.

If you are ok with less no of backup and audiophile quality then it is sans clip+ or the sans fuze.

Gr8 sound quality, gr8 vid quality...

Apples play mp4, cowon d2 plays avi expect divx6.

There is a cowon V5 which plays about anything you can think of. But for that you will have to take ur budget higher and the player is big in size. Still have a look. Its a lot better than d S9 or ipod touch when it comes to vid
 
Thanks all for the info. Well the reason i had posted the query is 6 months back i bought a sony walkman series (don't remember model number) with inbuilt speaker for my sis. Well the product is ok and for videos i need to convert the current .avi format to that supported one. In built speakers are not so good. Here people are giving good review for sansa clip plus.

So if most of the players are like this(video issues) then i thought of going for sansa clip just mp3 player for music. I have movies(downloaded from interent of around 700mb size) and i want to watch them whenever i feel but converting them is a big headache.

i had gone through reviews of cowon d2+ and came to know abt not good firware and i'm not so much music buff.. so i thought it was not for me.

when edge111hussain suggested cowon v5 i gone thru reviews looks excellent but expensive. May wait for some time to buy it.

I was thinking should i have to wait for some time for money to accumulate in mean time should i go for sansa clip?/ or is there anything in cowon with exp slot and nearly as cheap as cowon.
 
Cowon D2+ anytime or J3 coming soon..

What are you going to do to do with f/w,the player is nearly the best out here and u cant expect any future improvements in the player..

SQ,card slot,battery playback and plays .avi too

D2 is discontinued and is not available @ cowon india

but if OP is interested in D2 can get in touch with the distributor..i guess they should have few nos.

No harm in trying..
