Confusion in deciding PLASMA.. Please Help

Hi all,
I have finally narrowed down to three models.

All the three models are 42 inch PLASMA s

LG PQ30 -- Rs 43,000 :hap2:

Panasonic PV8D --- Rs 48,000 :hap2:

Samsung B430 --- Rs 44,500

I dont think Samsung is great in plasma

I have read a lot of reviews of the above panasonic,
But is it really worth it for the extra 5k when compared to LG ???

I guess LG has a better customer service when compared to
panasonic in my town. Am not in the metros,

Pana PV8D Contrast ratio is 100,000 : 1
LG PQ30 Contrast ratio is 200,000 : 1 :hap2:

Is contrast ratio very important ?

Please help me to take a decision.

Contrast Ratio means better blacks, and better shades of the same.

When you spend some good amount of money on a object, I feel it should be important to have decent service also.

As u r not in a metro, figure out your service options first, then see which of the three would be better for you.

At the end, see them side by side if possible with a good movie/ clip playing on all three. make sure all are at same/ similar setting levels, and make your pick.

Sometimes the connectivity and expansion options can also make or break a choice, so do see that too.
 
the lg and samsung have better performance, then the panasonics be it the old pv80 or the newer x10.all have similar contrast levels.as far as service well panasonic are last in terms of service centre.
 
I have the Samsung PN42B450 (if that is the one you mean). It looks pretty good. I use it mostly for gaming (Wii, PS3 and PS2) and both HD and SD content look really good. Lots of inputs at the rear, so no need to swap connections in or out.

(This is not an important point, but I love the weight and balance of the remote. :ashamed:)
 
Am still thinking......

Heard that LG and Samsung are also good.....

I will be deciding on the Price only ( Which ever i get for a cheap rate )

I will be finally getting my plasma this saturday . Following are the details :

LG 42 inch PQ60 = Rs 41,000 ( Well reduce the price further during purchase )
 
Have a Look at Sony LCD series there are different series just hop to a near by store & have a look.
