Beginner
well guys i need a little help

i need to connect my bravia v series to my pc as a secondary source
for watching HD movies n stuff

the distance between pc and tv being bout 7 meters..

what kind of cables do i need and will i experience any lag..

i have a 8600GT card on my comp it has 1 free dvi port.....

get a long dvi-to-hdmi cable. it should have a dvi connector at one end and an hdmi connector at the other. no, you will not receive any lag.

also u need wires for audio check the back of ur tv to see which hdmi input support external audio in..and which type of connection- 3mm jack or RCA type.

oh, i forgot about audio, the dvi will obviously not transmit audio. you will need a separate connection to your audio setup/tv for that.

thanks a lot guys

just bought a 10 meter cable DVI-HDMI also the wire with 1 end to my pc and 2 plugs to the tv (RCA) i guess and as u guys said there is absolutely NO lag.
thanks......

i have a new query though

i have a samsung syncmaster 22" as my monitor and it gives me only 1050p
how can i set up 2 diff resolutions 4 my monitor and tv...
the graphic card allows only 1 resolution to both the screens

Sorry, but DVI does have audio. The GFX card would have a SPDIF In & the Mobo would have a SPDIF out. These need to be linked up. Thats all. This gives pure digital audio, what you get in a TOSLINK/ Optic cable.

Not all 8600 GTs had it.

@OP: Can you post the exact model number of the card?
