This is Engineering Sample (ES) Conroe 2.4GHz on test 965 board, and still it killed 6GHz P4 and AMD FX running @ 3.4GHz in Pi 1M. This shows the kind of power we got to play with in near future peepz... save all you can :P

This is very good news for all, at a very affordable price (little above $300). Let's see AMD catch up now ;)
 
Great performance at a very affordable price.

If they continue this way, I will 100% consider Intel for my next upgrade :)

Seriously though AMD tweaked intel's tail and now things have boiled over... AMD is screwed a few months down the line...

Now where are the bi1**** AMD affecianados here???? :tongue:

True Intel right now has the most affordable dual core in india right now (performance is a different issue altogether :P) And if the Conroe is priced right (here) it'll be a killer product. I am not yet counting AMD totally out though..........
 
This can only be all good for us.

AMD will try harder, Intel will try harder.

Cheaper Prices! Awesome Performance!

This trend will continue i think.

AMD needs more Engineers :(.
