When can we see 1333Mhz FSB CPU like E6650, E6450??? What are the advantages of having 1:1 ratio at 667 Mhz.... does this mean this is a better proc which will clock and overclock much higher than current procs... I feel cheated now that I have just bought Core 2 Duo and a new version is already out at the horizon...

^ I've not personally seen any reviews of these new processors but personally techcheat, I don't think you should feel you've been cheated (no pun intended :P)

As for advantages of the 1333 FSB, its only for people using their systems at stock, since you can easily gain much more performance out of your system but running at say 350x7 which gives you an FSB of 1400 and RAM clock at 700Mhz, 1:1.

I'd rather take a higher multi, lower fsb than higher fsb cos its easier to clock higher :P. Unless the 6650 costs significantly less than 6600 or overclocks significantly better, i'd take the 6600.

^^ Are you nuts ?

E6600's arrived in India a few weeks after the global launch, with prices equal to that in the US.

6650 is gonna be 333x8 by stock.... The multi is lower.. So realistically speaking. It sucks....

Id rather have a 6600 @ 266x9... Oh wait, I do have 1 :P..

Erm?

The stock is gonna be 333x7. Which translates to 2.33Ghz.

The next model is clocked at 2.66Ghz (333x8.) and the Xtreme is clocked at 333x9 (~ 3Ghz)

Now the ocability of the 6650 is like that of a 6300. Albeit with 4mb l2 cache to boost performance. Max we would see out them with "normal" cooling would be 3.5 to 3.7Ghz (that is pushing the FSB a lot also.)

Do our motherboards (existing) support increased FSB.... can it be achieved via upgraded bios, or would we be stuck.

P.S. Guys I bring up such interesting topics, yet no one adds to my reputation... I am still so mysterious :(

people generally add to reputation when u help them with their queries or u do a good review! or when you beg like this :D

congrats u turned green...

Good post...

6650 will be nice for 99.9% population that do not OC.

I am glad to know that increased FSB is for noobs who dont OC and can get a higher clocked system.... So in reality we would be better off... even though you can expect a price drop in E6600, E6400 as opposed to E6650 or E6450....

Thanks for making me green...
