Hey Guys,

Have a Xbox 360 lying around since a year. Never really played a game on it except for maybe Tomb raider and COD:Blackops which I remember finishing. Now I really wanted to play Super meat boy, Limbo and Outlander (mostly 2d/3d platformers) on my 360. I don't mind buying the game (my 360 Jasper is modded thanks to fellow member Rave) but the problem is that I haven't really tried connecting the Xbox to the net and I am scared that I might get banned as I had tried loads of pirated copies on it, foolish cause i never played any for more then 15 minutes.

Now what I really wanted to ask here is that whats the way of installing XBLA games which cant go online. I don't want to Jtag my console as the procedure is a PITA and I am not really a fan of hard modding.

Also what other good games are there which are not FPS and are great to play. Tried playing Dirt 3 and Crysis 2(The latest one) but it felt it was boring. Whats a arcade racing game for the 360.

If you go on XBL, it will prompt you to perform the new dashboard update, which in turn, would flash your console's DVD drive back to default firmware. So if it's currently modded, then the mod will be gone post the update. If you (or Rave) have a back-up of your drive's DVD key, then you can re-flash the firmware, i.e mod the drive again.

You can't play the XBLA titles without being connected to XBL. You need to be signed into your profile, so that it can't connect and authenticate your download via XBL. Limbo was released in retail disc as a part of the XBLA Triple Pack disc, which also included Trials HD and 'Splosion Man. So Limbo can be installed on the console without having to connect to XBL, as it's DRM free. On second thought, both Limbo & Super Meat Boy, are available for PC via Steam. So why not get them from there instead of going through this whole drama on the 360?

Well there are other titles also besides these two. Already have Limbo and Supermeatboy on my lappy.

Also playing limbo at night on my 40"incher with my HT would be tad better then on my 15" lappy. Also I havent switched on my PC for last few months and I believe it has hackintosh on it.

Then get the XBLA Triple pack disc. That's the only way to get Limbo on the 360 without having to connect to XBL.

If it still in warranty then get the console replace by microsoft.

If not then download the latest dashboard update from xbox dot com and put in on a flash drive, connect it to the console and update it. This as Ethan said earlier would remove the flashed firmware and return it to stock.

Hope this helps :)
