Contest for tech students

How fast can you assemble a computer? Well, you find out at the Who Can Build the Fastest Core 2 Duo PC contest being organised by Elitegroup Computer Systems, a computer hardware and notebook manufacturer, in association with Intel India. The campaign will cover three major engineering colleges each in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The contest will be conducted at each campus in association with the college faculty. Teams selected by the faculty after a brief qualifying test and comprising three members per team will assemble PCs within the stipulated time.

The fastest team to assemble a Core 2 Duo PC will walk away with prizes that will include ECS dual core motherboards and Intel Core 2 Duo processors. There are also prizes for the runners-up and participants. A random quiz contest on PC technology-related subjects will keep non-contestants engaged during the assembly contest and will enable students learn about the latest developments in PC technologies and products.
