Control panel in vista

I am having a problem..whenever i try to open control panel in vista it just flashes and closes nothin happens...this is same for My computer>Right Click> properties
Does ne1 have ne clue abt this problem?
OS is Vista Ultimate

have u disabled some services in VISTA ?? especially readyboost ???

everything else is working fine..and have not disabled readyboost..
still gettin this problem
