Convert E398 to Moto Rokrr or ipod fone

hi, dudes, been quite busy with other commitments lately , but do find time for te , though ;)

Okay, back to biz, here is a thread by Shoey on Howardforum where he has

hacked the firmware of ipodfone to convert ur very own e398 to ipod fone,,,,

I am cursing myself now for selling-off my e398 :( , if any of u guys do get a positive result just lemme know.

Only problem is low onborad mem. on e398 :(.
 
before u upgrade to i398 decide whether upgrading is really worth for u....

u may take make 5 or 6 movies the first 15 days but then later u wont take even 1 movie on a day avg....

But speed and bug free firmware will be what u want anyday..... util i398 comes with a firmware that is fast if not as fast as v398 or 9cr i dont see any reason for going for i398.... all these are my personal opnion...

if u want a fast and stable firmware move to 9cr + GIKE.... its faster than v398 v4.

yeah, in fact i only used video recorder for only for a week....Those who are not familiar with firmware flashing are reccomended to take one of the tutorials first (ask me i'll get you one) or just don't ***k with i398.

V398 v.4 is still a faster, with less bugs firmware and much more easier to flash to your e398, but doesn't have video recording.

only people who want that Ipod connectivity and video recording badly need to go for it otherwise there's no reason to.

Even 96r (the default firmware in India market) is almost just as good.

Right now its reccomended V398 v.4, only those who have sheer knowledge and experience on flashing should go for it as there are frequent bugs being found in i398 including signal problems.
 
actually 9cr + GIKE is v398 v5 beta... its very good and stable... for people who want 9cr flash.. there is a thread on it in HoFo. Some bugs in v398 v4 like reddish screen when the background is balck is all fixed.... the menu is notably faster than v4.

Cud 1 of u guys just provide a good tutorial for the same or atleast tell me wats GIKE ???

Firmware: 9CR

Flex: GIKE398000AC0DB

LP: 0003

JBenchmark Score: 50 (highest), 45 (lowest), 47-48 (average)

Free space: 6Mb

and it is quad-band....

the few adv over v398 v4 are menu is noticibly faster, better blue tooth, better camera quality, no reddish screen as in v4.

i think tutorial would be present in the monster pack itself... else search howardforums.com or motomodders.net....
 
hei everbuddy, i m newbie here.nice 2 meets u all.

i m havin the moto e398,but i wan 2 upgrade it into rokr-e1(with chinese input/output coz i m a chinese ppl).but i dunno wat software should i have & how 2 upgrade it.can u all help me 2 solve the problems?plzzzz?????
