3d target demo was siCK :O :O :O :O
now i can imagin & feel how future shooters[fps's] gonna be or should i say * should gonna be:ohyeah: *.......

Pretty sure Nintendo is readying a hefty check for him and ready to patent this technology as we speak.

Maybe they're gonna save it for the successor to Wii.

there is another video of this guy where he will using Wii to track the movements of your fingers.....

something similar whatz shown in Minority Reports...not to that scale.

There is nothing new in this except for the use of the Wii controller.

VR systems will take off in time, but they are as yet expensive and probably uncomfortable most of the time.

was waiting for that spark of sanity from KK :D

Hes always got some practical, wel informed facts ready. :)

well i remember somehting like this on a forum once.. only it had something like a webcam which would track some special dots placed on the players head.. or hands .. dots seen in those motion capture devices.. there was a youtube video as well.. but the guy was using it along with the logitech G25 racing wheels to play some racing game and look around in the cockit of the car.. but still to be able to use this inexpensive technology to do something like this is awsome..

when i was started to play games (i ws very small ) on MITASHI CONSOLE (8-bits games ) ,i used to move my who body with the charecter or the controler ,to the side where charecter is intented to move to.

so wii has same stuff like that moving hand ..........and now we will be have to move whole body with a 3D experience ....that:hap2: s gonna be cool.

i really think this is the next big thing .Awsome stuff just like watching unreal 3 torunament taking place outside your window imagine the possibilities .hope nintendo licenses the wii technology to logitech and other pc hardware manufaturers for PC gamers.Awesome stuff no mouse no crap.but there are limitations too like ur watching out from a window you can only see so much and this cant be considered true VR for that you need to be able to turn around and have a 360 degree view.

^^ the display doesnt count its the technology .i think you can do it even with a CRT .tne bigger the size though the better will be the illusion.so i dont think either an LCD or a plasma is a prerequisite just the wiimote and the IR sensor.

Exactly all of this was done 10 yrs back when VR was all the hype.

Nothing much came off it to the general public.

It's cool to look at but imagine gaming for several hours like that :hap5:

idea is to make the machine do the work :cool2:

The kind of processing power required to do VR is astronomical. As is accurate feedback. While CPUs today have number crunching power, problem is the amount of work they'd have to when you increase the graphical detail will go beyond their bounds.

So today's CPUs can handle yesterday's VR. That is where it always seems to be at.

VR will eventually get there, but I'm not sure if everyone will like it. You will no longer be able to sit on your a$$ and play. Plus, even a 40" LCD will seem small. Do you want to play a game as if you are looking out a window?

P.S. Look up Nintendo's Virtualboy. Nintendo's biggest failure ever.
