Looking for wall mounted slit AC for out living+dining hall combine size is 27X17 sfeet. Decided to go for two 1.5T 3 star rated ACs and my budget is 80K for both. Pls suggest. Pref brands are hitachi daikin and general. Mostly will using the AC in summer during nights and 4-5 hours during afternoon. The room has big doors and windows all protected with tinted window panes and sunshades.

Pls suggest.

I was reading somewhere that 220 sq feet of space can be cooled sufficiently with a 2.0T AC. But I think 1.5T should be enough for the purpose.

So getting 2X1.5T should be sufficient for your requirement. You can also try Multi Split AC... They are slightly expensive but save you space. They are available in 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0T each per unit. The LG 2.0 Multi split AC costs 63K (do not know street price).

Thx buddy. I have decide to go for 2X1.5t Hitachi iClean machines. MRP 41K per piece. While most of the ADs are offering at 43 44K, one AD nearby offered me at 41K. Is there a catch in that price....anything fishy?. When confronted with other dealers with that price they said that installation makes all the difference. How far is that true? Are there any things i should look during installation?

The room dimension is 27L X 17W sqfeet. Theres a big house towards the west and towards the east there a couple of rooms. Road towards the North and this side is well proected from sunlight with a tent kinda arrangement. To the south of this room theres a bedroom. IMO this room is well protected from direct sunlight in all direction. But we have a lot of big doors and windows and all the doors and windows have curtains, So will a 2X 1.5tonn arrangement suffice or should i go for 2X2 Tonn or any higher config. Pls advise as Ill be buying soon before the priices shoot up.

There is wall unit housing a 40" LCD, a computer, a couple of tubelights and a couple of ceiling fans(if these matter)

Have bought a Mitsubishi 1.5T (4 star) earlier this week. It's not a Mitsubishi Electric unit but the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries one. Cost me 41k incl installation, a double booster / stabilizer and the copper wires for connecting the indoor and outdoor units (yes, it does not come with one). The throw on this thing is maddening to say the least! Set the temp to 25 and it took this monster just 10 Mins (may have even been lesser) to get the room cold (yes, frikin' cold!) - dimension of the room is 16 x 12

I'd strongly suggest you to consider the Mitsubishi
