Copy Games on the PS3

hey guys..
i have a 80GB PS3..PHAT model...
read it on some blog so wanted to confirm that is it possible to store the whole game on the PS3 such that you dont have to play it using the disc...

hmm......but what is you load lunix on the system n then copy ???
has anyone tried that...cause through lunix cant you copy from a disk.....

Wht's lunix?? Linux..

Even if you install linux & copy the files to HDD, you still won't be able to play the games without the BR disc of the game..

Well, even if you copy, it will just be a shit load of useless data on your HDD with which you can't do anything .

yes it is possible and is legal. Only thing that you shouldn't sell it making several copies but only intended for personal use just for backup.
 
^dude, seriously stop BSing please. The PS3 still hasn't been hacked. There is no way you can backup a PS3 game disc and burn it onto another Blu Ray disc and play.

Can you show us where it says you can use the backup in place of the original? :p

You can backup the data, but as I said it would a shit load of useless data lying on your hdd till someone figures out a way to actually use that.
 
Nopes u can't play Disc based games via HDD...only if there is an alternate Download copy available in PSN store... ;)
