Copying media to cell phone

Hi,
Can anyone point me to a good site/guide on how to copy/prepare media (audio/video) for cell phones ? there are things like reducing bit rates etc and so many different formats. For a beginner like me its difficult to understand which is better.

Also, can anyone recommend a good software for converting media to a format suitable for a cell phone ?
 
kalpesh, it mainly depends on your phone.. If you have a series 60 phone then you can install smartmovie, and you get a convertor alongwith it.

Otherwise you havent got much options rather than use Nokia multimedia convertor,

Which phone do u have anyways ?
