Corby vs 5233

Hey guys.
A friend of mine wants to get an touch screen phone for around 7k.
His options right now are Samsung Corby and Nokia 5233.
I wanted help in finding out,
Which is better between the 2?
And are their any other options?

My vote goes to Nokia 5233.

Reasons:-

1) Samsung doesn't support java.

2) Nokia 5233 gives good battery backup.

3) Symbian OS are best.

4) Nokia 5233 has higher resolution of 360 X 640 than corby's 240 X 320.

5) 3G, GPS and better VFM.

6) List goes on.....

No. 5 is not available with 5233

Yes, avoid Nokia 5233 if you can invest a little bit more. Nokia 5230 is future compatible - it has 3G and GPS as well as more VFM. It costs marginally more than the 5233. Might be hard to find though. Nothing beats this phone in that budget.

but corby supports java and has a very good battery backup

But mind you that 5233/5230 has very bad speaker volume, its too low even samsung champ 's 40% volume is louder than 5233 's 100% volume

And the stock earphones of nokia are of very bad quality but ones with corby are pretty decent in ear ones

5233 is one of the highest selling nokia phones .. the demand for this phone is unbelievable . complete value for money and a zillion times better resale value and after sales service than a samsung + symbian apps

No even samsung has good service and corby its also one of the best selling phones in competition with 5233
And resale value of both the phones is similar
The most worst part of 5233 is its speaker volume else it would be a good phone

Java support - Though the manual says that phone support JAVA files, most of my friends/others have problem installing them. It gives an error saying "unsupported file".. :|
Good Battery Backup - Don't joke. Personal experience.

Yes i hear music for 2 hours a day and talk for 1.5 hours and just need to it charge after two days

And if I don't hear music and talk a bit less then I need to charge it after 4~5 days
