E6300(9k)

MSI 865 Neo(6.5k)

Twinmos DDR2 667(5.2k)
Total of 20.7k
MSI 865 Neo ???
which board is that ???
does the 865 chipset also support DDR2 + conroe ??????????

I had to get the Gigabyte DS3 for 9.5k, there werent any decent P965 boards available except the intel original one for 8k..seems ok but the DS3 seems picky with memory, i suggest you go with the Asus P5B VM (~4.8k) or P5B (10k)

i have decided to go for the MSI P965 Neo for now ...and an E6300.

now what RAM do i get ??

I need 512 x 2 .... any idea bout the prices of DDR2 667 Mhz 1GB Kit from Transcend / Kingston / Corsair / Twinmos and where are they available ??

Thats MSI 965 Neo and not 865 (A typo on his part). Its a value 965 solution. I have this board and also written a small review of it in the reviews section. If you plan on some heavy overclocking then this board is not for you. BIOS options for overclocking are pretty lean. If you want a stable cheap Full ATX board with good performance and dont need RAID support nor overclock heavily, then you can go for this board. I got it for 6.8k all inclusive

Both have their own advantages... just do a search, there must be some threads which will definitely help you a lot. Me very lazy :)
