Hi all,
I guess the Title says it all. I know most of you will bash the Core 2 Quad. But firstly i want to make my usage pretty much clear.
1. Gaming
2. Max / Maya Rendering
3. Lot of Photoshopping. HDR Photography and all
4. Regular HD movies and all that
Now I know that games are still not designed to use multiple cores and all and that is why i wont see much difference in the quad. But my question is, even if i dont see a performance boost in the quad, will it perform worse than the core 2 duo. Even if it performs tha same in gaming, i would prefer a quad as it will really give me a boost in rendering. In fact i saw on benchies that the quad one gives 87% boost in max. (compared to e6600).
So please let me know. What should i get.
E6850 ( 1333 Mhz, 4 Mb L2 Cache, 3ghz)
Q6600 (1066 Mgz, 2 x 4MB L2 Cache, 2.4 Ghz)
Thanks a lot
